Most of us keep dwelling in the past, especially when the past has been sorrowful. Whenever has happened in the past is good.
Dwelling in the past creates anger, vengeance and past creates anger, vengeance and grudge over the others living around by thinking back on the sorrow one has experienced.
The root cause of sorrow is Consciousness of ‘I’ and ‘Mine’. Hence we always feel that we have been the victims of circumstances that have brought us sorrow. But, as a matter of fact, those who feel that they have been the losers are the ones who actually gain compared to the then winning party.
This is because every loss or defeat experienced is a teacher teaching us to make ourselves equipped better mentally and spiritually to face more challenges in the future. One must always remember that ‘Failures are the stepping always stones to success’, therefore, if failures are seen as obstructions to one’s happiness, they will become a stumbling block to our effort for the transformation in us.
Everyone goes through some types of suffering mentally, physically or spiritually because no one in this world could escape pain, sufferings, sorrow or defeat. If we sit back and recall every scene of the past in the drama of our lives, only then the significance of our powers and strength could be realised.
Always remember ‘No one can play our role better than us.’ So, whatever has to happen in this drama will happen, we should not have any regrets over anyone or any situation. Instead we, as the children of Supreme, should learn to forget the sorrow and wait for eternal happiness that is bound to dawn in our lives in the New World.
